Estée Lauder: Double Wear Infinite Eyliner

Hello lovely readers,

I have tried so many different kinds of eyeliner, all in hopes of finding the perfect smudge/waterproof pencil. Because nothing makes me want cry more than that dreadful moment as I unconsciously rub the corner of my eye causing my makeup to unapologetically streak across my face. No tears though, your mascara is still in tact. While this may not be entirely avoidable, the less touch ups, the better. Which brings us to the review of the day: Estée Lauder’s new Double Wear Infinite Waterproof Eyeliner (06 Deep Plum)

With ten shades available, I found this product at Macy’s for $24.00. The product itself looks sleek plus it comes with a nifty detachable smudge-tip and sharpener. The package info says it’s “24-hour wear. Waterproof. Sweat-proof. Smudge-proof. Heat and humidity-proof,” and it definitely holds up to the expectations.

I tried this product with and without an eye primer (I used the nyx proof it) and can attest that it’s smudge proof either way. It stays bold throughout the day as well, and if you’re in for long twelve hour days like me, the long wear is a must. I can’t tell you how many eyeliners I have pitched (in a I’ll only use you when I’m practicing makeup way) because it ends up fading a few hours in.

There were only a few cons I could take away from this product. First is the price, however for the quality of the product if you’re willing to invest then it’s really not that bad. Second, the smudge tip doesn’t work that well. Though the sharpener balances out in usefulness.

All in all, it's a good eyeliner. I'm not one to always buy 'expensive' makeup, but I would suggest getting this product if you're looking for a reliable, quality product.
